"Driving up to Portland from California, my car started to misfire. This was late on Christmas Eve so I started to really worry. I pulled off at Roseburg. First mechanic on list, I arrived 20 minutes before they closed and was treated with understanding and compassion. Ed the mechanic was just great quickly. He diagnosed a burnt and arcing spark plug and promptly ordered parts and replaced wires. It really was almost like a Christmas miracle to us as 30 minutes later and they would have been closed and who knows what we would have done. We were back on the road before we knew it, car running smoothly. Thank you so much — I can't say enough good things."

"I had been taking my car and truck to the dealership but am glad I found H.I.S. as they have proven to be more knowledgeable, courteous, and committed to doing a good job. In fact, they had to remedy a situation that had been caused by the dealership which involved missing parts. There are a lot of places to take your vehicles, but I recommend H.I.S. as they go out of their way to make sure a customer is happy with their work."

"I was in Roseburg, from Seattle, for a 4-day dog show. My car's water pump went out on Thursday. I was able to drive it to H.I.S. Friday afternoon. Michelle was very nice and understood I needed my car back as early as possible on Monday so I could return home. The mechanic was able to rapidly diagnose my problem. Michelle ordered the parts to be received and then installed on Monday morning.

As promised my car was ready to go just before noon on Monday and I was able to drive it home. The total bill even came in $40 under their high estimate. I was very appreciative of H.I.S. and their focus on getting my vehicle fixed and me on the road home. Hope I never break down in Roseburg again, but if I do at least I know where to go for repairs."

"The team at H.I.S. are awesome! Very informative, honest, and upfront about work needing to be done on my car. I came in with my vehicle running rough and upon arrival, they diagnosed the issue. D.J. kept me updated with calls on what was happening and price quotes, so I wasn't left in the dark. He also brought to my attention other things that were showing signs of wear but ultimately left it up to me to decide what I would like done. It was so nice to not have that pushy sales pitch like so many places have, just an upfront diagnosis. I learned this auto shop is family owned and you can really tell they take pride in their work. My car now runs amazing and I've found a great local shop to bring business to in the future."

"I was between jobs and needed a wheel bearing replacement for my van. I needed it ASAP as I had a job interview in Eugene and needed to drive there. I took it around, but no one could get to it sooner than a week. Luckily one of the shops suggested Dave at H.I.S. Automotive and Dave said he could get right on it.

Dave was a gentleman. Honest and fair and kept in mind my financial situation with the bill. The work was solid and I'll definitely bring my van back to Dave in the future."

"I have been a proud customer of H.I.S for over two years. I seem to frequently wait till my vehicle problems are immediate before calling them. They always patiently and carefully listen to my problem. Following my description of my problem, they get my vehicle in quickly for needed follow on diagnosis and repair... if required.

They are an honest repair shop and do just what is needed only. I have had no problems with their repairs to my car and diesel truck. Their pricing is very reasonable and they even give gift coupons for returning customer service discounts. Wow! They are a very pleasant and great communicating staff answering all questions and super at notifications by phone or text. My first choice for repairs and service of all our vehicles. "My car was towed to HIS Automotive while I was out of town and they were so great! They made sure to call me before doing anything to my car, had great communication, and finished so quickly. They texted me keeping me updated, told me everything that was fixed and a price. They also let me keep my car there for a week because I was unable to make the 2-hour drive to pick up my car. When I picked my car up, the guys here were very nice. Definitely recommend."
